Why would Capcom make DMC5?

To please you guys? That's not how Capcom works. They want the money, this game failed sale wise, DMC 5 will follow the same path, high chances that it might even sell less.

False, DMC5 has way more potential sales wise.

When asked, both anti's and pro's said they'd buy a DMC5 if it were released. Therefore, it would sell more. That much is undeniable. DMC4 sold 2.7 million, so if DMC5 was made with the old fanbase in mind (with some obvious improvements like releasing full game this time), it would probably break 2 million again.

why should they make DmC2? for fanbase that wasn't there to support them? lol

Make DMC5.
This pleases the old fanbase.
Old fanbase supports DMC5.
Old fanbase buys DMC5.
Capcom makes more money.

It's bretty simple.

This is an gaming age dominated by blockbuster games and shooters, also H/S dont sell much nowadays. Even with some tweaks, DMC 5 will be like DmC but with diffrent characters in the casual's eyes and not many wanna touch cheesy, japanese games nowadays. Not to mention DMC 5 will probably not have an good story so it just wont buy those story lovers costumers. Antis didn't buy DmC just because they wanted DMC5, why makes u think pros wont buy DMC5 just to get DmC2?
