Not sure, what you mean by "Mickey Mouse story" but I'll be honest when DmC was first announced I very skeptical, but I hadn't seen any gameplay yet. I play things before I judge them and I don't mean watching it on a stream like some people I know. After playing DmC I decided the game itself is fun. Is it really easy? Hell yeah it's easy but I don't find DMC 3 hard like every says it is but it was the hardest DMC of the bunch. Was the story great? Not really but compared to the older ones it's godly.
In the end, The more casual approach would get others that wouldn't normally play a DMC game to try it out. I would like DMC to become more than a niche title, since those are dying. Most people think Capcom is trying to destroy DMC, I think they might be trying to save it. Of course That's just me and sorry for the wall of text.
