Who do you like more; Donte or Nero?

DmC Dante never had a crying temper tantrum of ground punching either.


In the span of 12 hours, Nero:

-Was betrayed by the order he had been loyal to for quite some time (he even had enough respect for Sanctus to call him "His Holiness").

-Was betrayed by the man who he considered close enough to be a brother (aka, Credo).

-Had Dante come into his life and flip everything he thought he knew upside down.

-Has been stabbed, impaled, clawed at, cut, etc. numerous times.

-Had his inner demon awakened.

-Had his Devil Bringer awaken.

-Had the love of his life and long time companion kidnapped before his eyes, twice, due to his failure to protect her.


Considering he's barely 18 (hell, the unofficial Devil May Cry 4 novel places him at barely 16 ), I think a few tears due to frustration and a couple of enraged screams were more than understandable.

I personally liked the fact that his frustration was presented in such an emotional context. I can certainly see any other guy reacting similarly in such a situation. Sometimes, that level of relatable portrayal is truly righteous. Not all heroes need to be stone solid and always maintaining the same unnaturally strong persona.
