All I know about 2 is that it doesn't exist and has a soundtrack almost as good as 1's.

In every respect it is better, aside from the combat. DmC is *slightly* not worse than 2's. Which says virtually nothing.

I liked 2. the bad things were the bosses. Non of them were that good. The final boss is one of my fav bosses though.

I still find astonishing that there's people that think DMC2>DmC. DmC is far from an excellent game but at least its combat actually works.

I can't say the same on Son of Sparda. God damn is that mode tedious. At least in DMC2 I had Trish to look forward to once I cleared the game.

Ok, Trish did make that game bearable. But just on first playthrough (since I didn't do more than that for either), I say DmC is still ahead.
