Dodge button, necessary?

In a DMC game
Which in 4 work properly for siderolling, since the invincibility windows is upgraded & responsive(as good as DMC1 grenade cancelling)

In DMC3 doesn't work as good for some reason(no idea)

Dodge button in bayonetta is very essential simply because of nature of the game (allowing you to dodge repeatedly for 5 time) & enemy brutality/combo

In DmC? Imo jump still work just as good for dodging, lack of lock on is why it needs 1 for siderolling, since DMC siderolling need lock on & use same button for jumping

So, do you think DMC need dodge button? And not to mention trickster style in DMC4 allows O as dodge button to, and since you can change style in the fly, O serve alot of purpose than its DMC3 counterpart

You can jump and have the pulls, so no not really. Maybe against a boss or two assuming this is your first hack and slash and don't really "get" parrying.

1 dodge button sure. But 2 that do the exact same thing? That's a stupid idea.

2 dodges are plenty under the proper conditions

1 dodge via lock-on
1 dodge via dedicated dodge/style button

2 dodges with no lock-on? Bloody pointless!

Two dodge buttons are necessary so you can demon/angel dodge without using two fingers on the same side.

Pressing L1 while holding L2 isn't a difficult thing.

Sony should make a Blu-Ray less PS3. (4 min later) PS3 games are on Blu Ray disks? Wow, this explains everything. - videogamer1030
