Vergil is a vilain, in both series.

He's got redeeming factors, such as he had a bad childhood and wears blue. But anyone who kills people with purpose, or let them die without a second thought is evil.

Said it before but, it's funny there's some to defend Vergil in DmC just like old times.

Who does Vergil kill? Go on, I'll wait

First off, doesn't kill him. Lastly Arkham was planning on doing the same. Try again

First off, doesn't matter. Lastly, doesn't matter. This was before anything was revealed and Vergil merely "killed" Arkham because he (Arkham) was weak for not killing Lady and he (Vergil) didn't need him anymore.

Wrong, read the manga. They were using each other, a fact they were both aware of. That is why Vergil "killed" Arkham, him asking why he didn't kill Lady was strictly out of curiosity. Pls obtane cloo

Big difference here...Dante didn't know what would happen...Besides, it was Vergil who destroyed the hell gates in DmC, not Dante.

So, fail harder next time.

Donte agreed and helped with the plan of destroying the hell gate, thus is responsible, regardless of who did what. And if he decided to go against Mundus, he accepted the fact that people could die when they enraged Mundus, the same way Vergil accepted people could die when he opened the gates or summoned the Temen-Ni-Gru.

So, fail harder next time.

Who is Donte?

Sorry, but I can't take you seriously if you don't say the correct name. If it's Dante, then he didn't know what would happen.
Mundus was the villain, he had to be defeated. That's different.

defense in nutshell. DAnTE pissed Mundus. He knew what power could be unleashed. Oh, well, yeah, he ACCIDENTLY murdered thousands of innocent people he supposed to save. Not only that he unleashed armies of demons on world, which gonna led to extermination of another few millions. Oh, wow, modern hero all the way.

and don't forget about unleashing demons the hell knights, and blood rage both of wich can only be killed by demon weapons, and frost knights, and ghost rages can only be killed by angel weapons, if we assume that angel and demon weapons can only be used by their respective parties, and nephelims. then you can rack up the number of deaths from demons up to a 100 million to a billion, and they wouldn't be able to be killed until donte got around to that area

I still dont get why Virgil is villain in DmC, even his antagonist role is also questioned.
His intentions are good even till the end. He wants to protect the human race afterall....
if anything Donte is the antagonist if u consider the last part, and obviously Mondus is the villain.

Nah, Vergil was basically the Sessomaru of DMC and a more wicked ver. of Protoman.

Donte CAN'T be the antagonist, its literarily impossible
