QCTeamkillPosted 2/19/2013 11:06:37 AM | Mad respect for NT Studio who took charge of something impossible. They delivered a game above those they (NT) made before. They mention having help from Capcom but seriously who's going to help a foreign outsourced studio to surpass your work?
The gameplay didn't live up to the in-house Capcom made entries to the series. I knew what I was buying and I'm okay with that, maybe it could have come with a reduced price tag though ;) The reboot was a big kick in the rump to an old sleeping bear.
The game didn't sell on first week, and reviews didn't convert the antis. Ah well, a lost gambit, series is game over.
Conclusion? There are ways to win/lose a war, I still have my chin up even if my side is defeated. I think all of NT (but Tameem) can do the same. |

There was nothing wrong with new Coke, but the classic Coke folks never wanted it changed.
I loved the old series, but I really like and respect a lot of what was done with DmC and I liked the westernized take on the core dante/vergil story. I'm pretty sure that Vergil's downfall will be the last take on the western version, though.
I'm just not sure Capcom will bother with any new iteration because there's no proof that there's a multi-million person audience for the series. Angry people on the internet don't translate into guaranteed sales of a DMC5. |
