I like DmC, but I don't see how or why that matters.
I'm sure MGR is an excellent title regardless.

Comparing reviews are we? Let's begin and use your logic for starters:
Gamespot's review of MGR craps on DmC

8.5 > 8.0

So DmC is 5 points inferior deemed by reviewers on the same parent site you inhabit.
Get over yourself, TC. MGR is scoring high numbers as well so no one cares about your flame baiting, even DmC's supposed main component (which is the gameplay) is getting raped by Platinum games after the first comparison chart.

The dissonant range of the MGR reviews are far more believable than DmC review scores. Outliers ranging from a 3/10 to a 9.7/10.

Other factors include French reviewers being more harsh with their scoring and giving the game a great score of a "7".

Clearly, Devil May Cry is simply a more popular franchise than Metal Gear.

So that is influencing the reviews.

you do realize that DmC got better score out of spite and not because it's so good? Even Angry Joe who attacked complainers said that those who gave it 9/10 are delusional.

And MGR sold 4-5 times more copies than it. So what now?

?????
You mean to insinuate any negative press around MGR is because of DmC?

The one negative review I read was mainly a guy saying it was too hard.
(And saying the other characters/bosses were bland.
The metacritic score isn't bad, and they're still liable to change as more reviews for MGR are released.
