All you people blaming Tameem do realize that it was CAPCOM who wanted the game like this right? The first pitch that Ninja Theory made to Capcom stuck way more to what the traditional series was. Capcom told them to go further away from that. Not to mention Capcom went to Ninja Theory. Ninja Theory didn't go to Capcom. If you're going to throw anyone under the bus throw Capcom under the bus. Ninja Theory was simply just carrying out their end of the deal.
All of that is fine. We are aware that capcom started all this and wanted to make the reboot happen. They called on Ninja Theory and NT wanted to make money, so they agreed to do it. There's nothing wrong with any of that. But that's not what people are mad about (well that's what the extremists were mad about). For instance, I wasn't pissed when I saw the first trailer, just incredibly confused and speechless. However there exist maniacs that will hate it based on change, alone. You do not lash back at these people and assume that that is how all the fans are and call them sheep while bashing the established series.
Maybe this game would have failed anyway even if Tameem had been more professional about the backlash. But we'll never know because he wasn't. He kept on with his "holier than thou" attitude and thought he knew all there is to be cool. Then he started saying he doesn't care how well this game does; that's an example of pure spite that is common in children. Like you take away a kids toy when they're being bad and they say "I don't care; I didn't want it anyway!"
