Proving the majority wins. Even if it's idiotic. Kind of like religion and people who like hip hop. Whole different topic though.

Regardless of what your opinion may be about this game or this board, I just felt the need to mention that hip-hop is not idiotic. There ae idiotic pieces of hip hop music, but the genre itself is very diverse and well rounded, and has tons of worthwhile pieces. Same as any other genre.

Now, putting that aside.

As far as your opinion on this newer game being the best in the series, I think you are being a tad too hasty with that proclamation. Even aside from the fact that the game just came out, so it's a newer fresher experience, with a lot of flack hitting it from all directions, making those who want to defend it go about defending it with far more strength than is necessary, if you look at the game itself, it's not particularly better than any of the other games in the series for any reason. The soundtrack is simply noise, the gameplay is oversimplified and slower, and while that isn't worse for everyone, it certainly isn't objectively better, the story sucks some serious eggs, and the biggest thing the game has going for it is aesthetic design quality, both in and out of gameplay. A totally subjective leg to stand on. And while said aesthetic blends together well for what it's trying to accomplish, it's such a radical shift that it's not likely to appeal to any sort of strong audience. So it even loses that quality.

The game falls unfortunately short in just about everything it set out to accomplish. I can't see why you would claim it's the best in the series.

This series was never that good. Maybe Capcom will bring back Chaos Legion. Now that would be a treat. Or Okami.

I didn't like Chaos Legion. i tried on 2 separate occasions to try to play through it and both times i could barely make myself get passed the first 3 levels.

DMC was amazing for it's time, but I think 3 and 4 are better.

I agree. DmC is the best in the series by miles. Fans just take nostalgia to the extreme and curse new ideas. Even though they complain that there are too many bland sequels or say CoD is trash for being more of the same. That's really all they want. People here are just way too butt mad because their BF changed his hair color. Jut got attached to an unhealthy level to a video game character. Learn to let go.

Name one critical innovative feature that DmC added that was better than the whole series from a COMBAT/EVASIVE perspective that isn't similar to the old games. JUST ONE I DARE YOU. Dog dare you.

Notice I said 'combat/evasion' so the stupid ass argument of 'derp, better environments' can't be used. That has nothing to do with the combat.

What can't come up with something? BZZT you lose.

Please say 'demon dodge' please...I'm begging you, PLEASE say a broken feature is actually good for this genre. Come on dude, I need a good damn laugh today.
