Quoting function exists for a reason... and looks like you aren't getting what is it for.

I love Final Fantasy, if that makes you feeling better. XD

Because, that's the only thing that i can tell you after your previous post.

You could have everyone in a single post.

Yes, but I guess each post deserved an answer...

However, that won't happen again in the future. XD

-backtracking.

But this was fixed.

By turning the game into Corridor Simulator 2013.

just like final fantasy 13, and also like FF13 they never explain the important background details and leaves you with more questions that could have been easilly answered in cutscene or ingame conversation but aren't.

LOL that's a lie

it's on a menu somewhere explain the story for you since , you know, no need for towns and main characters interaction to feel that you're part of the world and wanting to save it. no, let's have the characters to just goofing around until the datalog get maxed out to start fighting the final boss. great story telling, right?

The thing is that the Datalog only sums up events that have ALREADY PASSED, gives superfluous details on certain things, has a bestiary, and holds the Analects. XIII has an amazing story, apparently you lack taste

Leave XIII alone, guys. For starters, wrong board, second, its problems are more or less well documented. The main one is that the story is still obviously in a draft state, but that's neither here nor there. For the record, I like XIII.

TC, as to the retcon thing, no, it is absolutely NOT like comic books. Comic books have years worth of continuity (sometimes decades) that is not readily accessible. DMC recently had its ENTIRE SERIES made readily accessible in the form of the HD collection. There was really no reason to reboot it aside from pursuing CoD numbers, as one of the major problems of video games such as Kingdom Hearts and comics, being continuity lockout, had been thoroughly averted. The story is readily available. A reboot is unnecessary.

Comic books perform reboots so as to draw new readers in by avoiding large amounts of continuity. Its why you have 2 or 3 versions of the same character in multiple comic universes at the same time. Video games have a easy way of avoiding this problem.

it is amusing when people claim DmC brings nothing new on the table when it's got a brand new game engine behind it. All previous games ran on updates to DMC1 that was from 2001.

some of the bigger changes/additions include:

making aerial combat easier with new moves is a flaw to many, when in reality it just opens dozens of more doors for truly devastating combos in mid-air. You can take fight all the way to the stratosphere if you so desire.

new weapons swapping allows way more weapons to be used simultaneously in combat. Previous system in use in DMC4 couldn't reasonably use more weapons than what it was already using.

fusing DMC4s Neros systems with Dante has made this new Dante very versatile fighter comparing to previous versions in depth.

platforming, in DMCs you'd be running empty corridors in static backgrounds as your pass time when not fighting. This was replaced with platforming in ever changing enviroment. Doesn't sound that bad of a addition.

enviroments were brought to this gen. Even DMC4 feels like a HD update to a PS2 game when playing it after DmC.

there are also numerous small changes..

now i'm not saying all these additions are perfecred here but they show promise if they were to be further refined.

This is a bit of a stretch considering the game runs on a modified Unreal Engine 3, plus enslaved code. In either case this isn't a point in it's favor considering it performs worse than the previous engine.

Stop there, right at your first sentence.

DmC uses an outdated engine, that has been used for their previous games, and they've COPIED and RECYCLED faulty codes from their previous games. DmC uses the unreal engine 3, which is locked at 30fps and led to a crappy port for the ps3, since ue3 is for pc and xbox only. Aside from that, MTframework is much better and suited for HnS games.

P.S nero's platforming with Devil bringer is much better than DmC's brain dead-forced fillers dubbed platforming.

Dante doesn't require a grapple attack and the devs thought of that during DMC4's development . Apparently , nero was the ideal answer and the devil bringer+ buster were much better suited for nero rather than dante.

Static environment> dynamic , simply there is no use for it and it hinders the performance of the game. Another bad decision. Also DmC took away directional air moves and styles, thus giving the player less options in the air.

DmC combined everything technical from DMC and put it in a blender , to make the dumped down version of game mechanics that are present in DmC.

No one wants brain dead platforming and recycled codes from a crappy commercial game engine that wasn't designed for the game. Just bring back proper gameplay and high quality , and stop blaming people when they don't buy crappy products.

DmC is a marketing scheme to milk the franchise, nothing new, nothing improved, just buy crap and give capcom $.
