Ninja Theory's insulting, offensive GDC conference

#31shatterstarPosted 4/4/2013 7:48:05 PM
If they're still talking about new Dante at GDC 2013, that should tell you that this is the direction Capcom are sticking with...lol.

Because it makes no sense to go this route with Hollywood standing right behind you in full support, only to go against it by reverting back to the original.

I think the whole purpose of DmC is to attract a new and younger fanbase and not a fanbase that's in it's late 20's and early 30's now.

Well it appears that DmC will hit that 1 million mark first week of release with the pre-orders increasing each day. Especially in the West.PS3 pre-orders outnumbering the 360's which is understandable since DMC is a Playstation title after all and the 360 is a flop in Japan.

Now all we have to worry about is worldwide sells with East and West combined. Hopefully DmC will become the top selling DMC game ever, out-selling DMC4.

It's going to continue to move on up because the number you're seeing at the moment might've tripled in the last hour or so.

It's going to sell 1 million, off of name alone. That much is obvious and anyone that doubt that is pretty much fooling themselves.

But let's see how far the rabbit hole goes though. Will it break records and hit that 3 million mark or at least that 2.8 million mark or even the 4 or 5 million mark.

That's the question.

Did any of these happen yet?

Come on, humor me like always.

Don't know. But they've shipped a million units first week of release and also PC sale figures were never added since it's release.

But when a Company lowers it sales estimate, they set the new estimate based on over all sales after release. So 1.2 million is the baseline estimate of the total of those sales over the coming months.

So you'll have to wait until Capcom announce the overall sales of DmC during those months.

Since all of that is very important to you for some reason....lol.

It was important to you seeing as you were so confident in the first place, mate.

Of course, individuals like you tend to shoot yourselves in the foot...lol.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. When did this ever happen? Besides in your head.

attract a new and younger fanbase and not a fanbase that's in it's late 20's and early 30's now.

Then you know even less about demographics than you already demonstrate. That demographic you're saying DmC wasn't made to appeal to are the majority of players and the demographic with the most expendable income. Since most teenagers don't exactly work and earn money, lolstar.

Probably.

My overall confidence was and still is in what DmC was designed to do, attract a new and younger audience, directed at establishing a new generation of DmC fans.

It's pretty obvious that's the audience that Capcom were targeting and still continue to do so. Because they're still supporting this new direct at GDC 2013.

DmC also received overwhelming positive reviews and made #1 on the top 10 list, even out shining God of War, MGS, and any other current game of this genre in the critics eyes.

If the game was slammed by critics and received Aliens: Colonial Marines and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct scores, Capcom would abandon it and not still support it at GDC 2013.

But that wasn't the case now was it?

I don't think NT is trying to be offensive with the whole Dante in Brokeback Mountain thing, I think they're just too clueless to understand that after some **** they've pulled, this isn't funny or seen in any sort of joking way. It's the same story it's always been with NT, they aren't bad people, they're just stupid.

Yeah, we're totally seeing some support. If by support you mean lowering sales expectations dramatically and shoving any talk of it to the ditch where nobody can see it flop in a pool of its own faeces.
