DMC4 fun challenges.

Here are some challenges for fun and practice:

1- mission 17, during the agnus fight, try to use enemy step to jump over his head when he uses the spinning attack with two cutlass demons; you might mix some royal guard blocks there.

2-Mission 17, there is a platform under the spinning blades, get under them ( you can stay there below the blades) and jump right into the spinning blades> use royal guard.

3- Parry the savior attacks. He has uses lot of attacks like projectiles and melee attacks.

4- Mission 17 (lol) the moving lasers, try to use a complete run using royal guard or trickster or both. Don't stop time. Stopping time and parrying is a great way to practice since the slow lasers are easier to see, so that you can see the hitbox and get the timing of the perfect block.

I had more challenges but i forgot them (lol), feel free to add any challenges.

Note: the challenges are not meant to be difficult and are supposed to be accessible to nearly anyone.

I wanted to use challenges for DmC but jump cancelling is broken and the game has infinite strings, so that would be meaningless. I planned on stuff like combo videos and challenges with both DMC4 and DmC but i might exclude the latter after... I don't want to talk about it, i might as well quit playing DmC.

Edit: challenge 2 is easy, try to empty jump over the first spinning blades without being hit.

Stuff like this sounds really fun, and encourages me to progress in DMC4 to unlock Dante. I think I got bored around mission 5.

I can't stop playing DMC4 , i at least have to spend 3 hours per session. The game engine, controls, pace and combos really keep you engaged , and the background is amazing in DMC4, having that with 60fps on consoles is a miracle.

Oh it's a ton of fun. I just got into some other games. My only real complaint, and I get a lot of crap for this, is I can't get into the lock on, I understand why people like it, and it cna help, but sometimes it doesn't feel sensitive enough to where I'm pointing the analog stick.

Well, that's what we get, and honestly we need better cameras and lock-on mechanics in HnS games. Bayonetta had an awful lock-on, and DMC's directional inputs are related to the camera THAT SPINS AROUND.

Indeed. I think my main issue is how locking on makes you lose a lot of speed, if they would let you retain a bit more speed and make the camera a bit tighter (heck, I'd be fine if the camera only moved if the player changed it manually) then it'd work pretty well.

On a side note I never even played Bayonetta...I'm a horrible person.

Are you guys going to be recording these? would be pretty cool to see everyone doing some DMC4 uploads.

Also the Fausts can be quite fun to parry using different attacks and keeping them in the loop, though does require some timing.

Haha I think it'd be cool to see some community event or something, there was the /v/ Style Tournament a few weeks back and I think stuff like this is what we need to show there's still support for these games. It would also get the community together a bit more.
