Let's not forget that long, lingering shot at the end of the first level to drive home that apparently, damage done in Limbo also effects the real world. Cue the end of the second level, where you escape what seems to be the entire mansion getting torn apart in Limbo to come out to a nice, calm hallway.

Or, of course, the fact that you get the angel weapon from a demon boss, despite all sorts of potentially interesting explanations they could've gone with, like Bob being an angel that switched sides, or maybe encountering an angel prisoner in his level.

Affects. And we're never told what exactly the relationship is going to be so we can't really expect any set things to happen.
