What is everybody's thoughts on what the message was supposed to be?

Was there any kind of actual misplaced ideology or something that weighed down by Ninja Theories concordance? Were the developers just trying to idolize themselves and masking it as social commentary? The messages that I feel that they are trying to communicate are rather shallow and selfish.

The message is rather stupidly wrong, and I mean "Occupy" levels of stupid.

But since watching the dark knight rises my brain had already vomitted so I got into this game with an empty stomach.

"Now you too can become a Ninja but without putting in years of martial arts training on mountain tops!"

"We are an ambitious, professional and friendly outfit that offers an excellent package including a........."

"As a diverse and perfection -seeking team we focus on the quality of our work above all else and demand excellence in all that we do, yet maintain a culture that encourages teamwork, rewards innovation and recognises individual growth"-ninja theory.

" Drop in quality due to excessive outsourcing"-capcom.

Dante is Ninja Theory.
Vergil is Capcom accompanied with Inafune's obsession with western development.
Mundus is the DMC franchise.
Humanity is the DMC fanbase.
Kat is the DMC fanbase that can break away from the rest of the mindless sheep and wants something better.

Ninja Theory is a rogue developer who's been struggling all its life against impossible odds. It is called upon by Capcom and those among the DMC fanbase who know that something better exists out there somewhere to heed the call and overthrow the franchise which has since damned us to Hell with mediocrity and after spending a year dicking around doing **** all but doodling on things, Ninja Theory finally embarks upon a journey weakening the franchise's grips on its fanbase by (Among other things) going to the media and donkey punching the bile-spewing hardcore fanbase that keeps making the rest of the fanbase swallow their **** that DMC is the greatest franchise ever. DMC retaliates by holding the fringe fanbase who aspires for better games hostage. Things go down and Capcom ends up outright killing any potential for a proper DMC5 with a rifle abortion.

Ninja Theory then begins its direct assault upon the franchise. Upon meeting DMC, Ninja Theory acts like a sniveling little **** explaining he did this all for the fans before admitting he just enjoyed watching a proper DMC game be obliterated. DMC gets mighty pissed as it had every right to and while it's beating the ever living crap out of Ninja Theory, Capcom swoops in and severs the gate allowing the fanbase to see how truly awful the franchise is.

Ninja Theory ultimately comes out on top, spits down on DMC's corpse and gazes out over the devestated remnants of its fanbase alongside Capcom and pat one another on the back for a job well done, but it doesn't last long. Capcom soon reveals its plans to create a new franchise with Ninja Theory, but Ninja Theory terrified of success as it is won't have it and in a painfully underwhelming battle ultimately runs its sword through Capcom's own heart. Capcom limps off wounded and hurt, but not before telling Ninja Theory it loved it so.

As Ninja Theory stands there wondering what it is, Kat comforts him by reminding him he's a third rate developer and that all in all, they're only capable of releasing below-average products so they should be good.

That people are secretly being controlled and manipulated into buying stupid crap by a capitalist system out to enslave them through debt and an endless lust for more stupid crap.

But you have to buy the stupid crap game to get the message so... derp?

If you want a game that will destroy a series, bomb in sales, and play like a severely mentally handicapped horse at a racetrack, get Ninja Theory to make your next game!
