Professional reviewers and mature people both have made their pick. DmC enjoyed stable popularity and had solid sales. It has 84 as its metacritic's score. Capcom praised Dragon's Dogma (old DMC developers' game, meaning they won't come back for any future DMC as they have their own IP now) and DmC's release and sales' numbers. DmC's Vergil's Downfall is still on the top 10 most downloaded DLCs on the PSN.
Meanwhile the competitors are posting losses all around (Don't believe it? Don't worry, I'll post sources, as always).
You should get over the new control scheme and the change in hair color and play it. If you really mind the lack of 60 fps on the consoles, you can just play at more than 60 fps on the PC version, while also enjoying better graphics! It's getting cheap now and you don't need to tell anyone, so your pride won't be hurt!
One also shouldn't forget that DMC4 sold about 2 million in a much shorter time than it took this turd to hit a million. I don't understand how people think it's such a huge achievement to break 1 million when all the other DMC games put it to shame sales wise.
It's also a fact that the game is generally disliked by the DMC fanbase (you know, the people who actually matter and not just some paid off journalists posing as "professional reviewers"). Otherwise why would DMC4 have such a high Metacritic user rating while DmC's is very low in comparison?
