I just thought about this. What if thats true and capcom wasted money just to promote a devil may cry 5 as the classic coca cola. Yall remeber what coca cola did with there brand right? --- psn-RamonBaranco
Holy crap, I seem to have travelled back to January this time. Ah well, I'll save the babby teers for another time. 5 months is no big deal. --- PSN: AlexxShadenk777 "DMC1 is the best, DMC4 is the worst. Not changing this signature till DMC1 gets its true sequel." January 17th 2013
I draw a different conclusion than most but find the analogy clever.
There wasn't a need to radically alter the series after 4. There wasn't a need to alter Coke's formula.
There wasn't anything intrinsically wrong with DmC (from my perspective) There wasn't anything instrinsically wrong with New Coke.
Both got stomped. Both will likely be forgotten.
I'm sadder about DmC because I really liked the ease of weapon shifting and felt that it did a good job of storytelling. And, I can barely remember the taste of new coke.
Depending on what happens in the future, may be a textbook case for business school - making changes no-one asked for.
How is weapon shifting any easier in DmC? The original DMC series let you press a button to change weapons, now you have to hold a button or press a button and then hold a button, and I don't want to even start with story
