DMC1: Alastor (v.Joe style)

No to that suggestion.

Mundus (final boss)

Only works if it's like the Galactus, Onslaught, and Apacolypse boss fights from the versus series

DMC3: Nevan (fighting style AKA morrigan)

Her name had popped up several times. She'll make a good character if she's made properly and not be a rip-off Morrigan.

Beowulf (big type character/ mid boss)

Only if stay as a mid/sub-boss and not a playable character

Dopelganger (aka shadow from Darkstalkers)

What's Darkstalkers has to do with it? His/It's name has been mentioned in some earlier posts. I also posted that he'll be a mimic type character

DMC4: Gloria

Also mentioned. She will probably be a pure rushdown character.

It'll play like Guilty Gear and it will be glorious. None of that weak ass autocombo or quickstick BS.

What is with the hate for Blazblue and Persona 4 Arena? Other than that, I would if it played like Guilty Gear.

Doppelganger - there is 2 characters in DS. one morphs into current character, aka doppelganger, other morphs into previous character aka shadow ( i think thats their names)
BB and P4A generally hated by people, who're assuming MvC3 is a good game :P

Changing the subject. What gameplay mechanics will this game have?

They ARE Guilty Gear- just with visual novels stapled to them, and a handful of scrub-friendly mechanics that will hopefully be phased out (if i remember correctly, Continuum Shift did away with the overdrive shortcuts).

Beyond that they've met with far more acclaim for doing comparatively little and that's a bit irksome.

Main Hall of Mallet Island Castle: Why not day and night versions of the stage that changes with each round?

Because the night version of the castle is infinitely more interesting; it feels menacing and claustrophobic and generally speaking, it's nowhere I'd like to be.

Looking at your DMC1 suggestions, nothing really stands out though; Nightmare 3's room is pretty boring and doubly redundant if they make a more visually interesting "DMC1 Hell" stage and the only thing that makes Mundus' chamber interesting is Mundus. If there's a boss fight make it happen, but strictly as a boss stage as it's bland otherwise. Nobody Chamber wouldn't translate well to a 2D space; if you want a compromise for an outdoor location and a Phantom nod, go with the Phantom 2 arena as the first round for Mallet Castle Hall and crashing through the stained glass for round two.

Ghost ship's a good pull, though it may be a bit too similar to MvC2's stage to really stand out for me; that and it mostly ran around in a dark tunnel with only Gryphon to provide contrast. Lots of ways to have fun with background elements of the ship itself though.

DMC2; eh. DMC2.

DMC3 meanwhile:

DMC3 mission 20 stage where you fought you fought Vergil

Any stage that has foreground elements (I.E. rushing water) that obstructs the characters is probably a terrible idea. Good footsies are already rough to work with as it is. Footsies where a character's up to their ankles in water which would be splashing up against them would be pretty on new-gen hardware but REALLY really annoying to actually play.

Arkham's boss stage

Considered it. Seemed a bit too dull and big for the sake of being big.

Jester's stage/Doppleganger Stage/Blade Arena actually

See above.

Love Planet strip club from DMC3

I like this. I hate I didn't think this up sooner.

66 Slum Avenue

See Love Planet.

Nevan boss stage (with Nevan herself sitting in a chair made from own shadows looking sexy)

Nah. Don't need no Sunken Opera House when we have a perfectly good non-sunken opera house.

Lost Souls Nirvana

I can go either way on this one.

Some of the stages you hated can be made more interesting if some of things were added to them or changed in the background. I'll give some examples:

DMC1 Mundus 1 stage: add some hooded members of the Demon Clan praying to the statue which is Mundus in diguise.

DMC1 Mundus 2 stage (the one with the lava pool): take some inspiration from the Midnight Carnivale stage from Guilty Gear by adding Lightning bolts and meteors falling
from the sky.

Speaking of stages, I have some ideas for new ones:

DMC4 Residential Area (before fighting Agnus as Dante): In different rounds different things will happen in the background. It will show either low-rank Order knights
or Bianco/Alto Angelos fighting enemies like Scarecrows, Assaults, and a Blitz. From time to time, a random civilian (a man, woman, or child) will run across the stage in a panic to escape.
Certain attack will temporarly knock him/her down.

DMC4 Pier: Civilians being escorted on boats/ships to escape from the island.

Mallet Island Sewers: The red eyes of the Beelzebub can be seen from the pipes before flying/crawling out of them.

DMC4 Agnus's lab: Seeing Agnus trolling around and mocking you would be funny.

DMC4 Angelo Creation: Seeing the souls of humans and demons being sucked from their bodies and transplanted into suits of armor (the Angelos) would be a disturbing site.

DMC4 Forest/Training Grounds: not much to say about it.

DMC3 Laviathan stage: seeing vehicles, parts of buildings, humans, and other crap it swallowed falling into its stomach.

DMC3 missiom 1 stage: see Forest/Training grounds.

Remember when games used to be good?
Proudly boycotting Capcom and DLCs.

It should be made by Arc System Works, because arch-rivals in blue and red is every ArcSys game ever.
