DmC2 I am ready!

This game got everything: good graphics, good story, good characters and gameplay. There is a lot more variety in gameplay compared to older DMC games: for expample the platforming or the part where you have to protect kat. The combat like in all DMCs is very good: easy to master and hard to play. Bosses in this game look alot more demonic than in old DMCs, they look like they are out of silent hill and are fun and fair to fight! I am thrilled for the next instalment since I don't see DMC5 happening at all, we will probably see an DmC2 announcement later this year for the new consoles and DmC2 will be no failure like DMC2, I am sure. I am hoping that they keep the mature style for the sequel, since I prefer a deep and thought through story over a corny and nonsensical story.

Are you ever going to stop pretending you're a fan of this game?

I assure you all this thread won't reach 40 posts.

Though, the words of an anonymous poster in a videogame board have no value, of course.

We can only hope. Releasing this on PSN for free kind of shows that they want as many fans as possible before announcing a sequel. Sequels most of the time sell alot better and the story is not finished since Vergil escaped and the world now knows about demons. It is just getting started!

And Roland talked with Man in Black for a long, long time and when he woke up he discovered only bones in a black hood, bleached by the time.
just like eternal wait for DmC2

Why would capcom make DMC5, which has a lower fanbase instead of making the sequel to the new DmC reboot. Nothing against your old DMC, but you can no longer make games which have a cheesy style and not enough substance. People still don't know who nero is and worse is that they do not care! In DmC2 we would have the return of Vergil and maybe we could even have a few mission where we could play as Kat changing up the gameplay a little bit. I am also not sure if Mundus is really dead or that he doesn't have another spawn!

It undersold by 800,000 (probably more, since 2 million was the minimum they wanted by last March). It was outsold by every last DMC game. It doesn't matter what they want, it's gonna be nearly impossible to successfully pitch another game to upper management.

DmC was the lowest selling Devil May Cry title, selling even less than DMC 3 vanilla (which was notorious for how difficult it was).

DmC: Devil may Cry = 1.2 million; undersold expectations by 800,000.

Devil May Cry 3 = 1.3 million; 2.3 million with the Special Edition.

Devil May Cry 2 = 1.7 million.

Devil May Cry 1 = 2.1 million

Devil May Cry 4 = 2.8 million; outsold expectations by over a million.

It's a simple numbers game as to why DmC probably won't have a sequel. I won't touch on the other stuff as that is your opinion and you are welcome to have it.

That's the second time I've seen you say this.
