What if Leon gets killed off?

I've been reading about the betas of earlier games, specifically 3.5, where Leon gets infected with a virus. Apparently, according to an article written about the game in early development, he eventually gets overtaken by the virus and transforms into a monster. Before Leon changes, he is able to get a hold of Chris and call for help. Chris eventually shows up and has to deal with monster Leon, and it was supposed to be the end of the series.

The article I'm referencing is here:

Scroll down the page after reading the article to take a look at Leon's RE3.5 journal! It's a very cool read. It really gives you a sense of what 3.5 would have been like. Leon sounds terrified!

I've also read another article that mentioned that RE6 seems to share some similarities with RE3.5, including some similar architecture and creature designs, and implied that Capcom is integrating unused ideas from older games.

Seeing as Leon and Chris are in the same game, and that part of it might take place in a similar location, does anyone think that Capcom will try to shock everyone with Leon's death? It seems like this is the direction that Capcom is going, considering that they also are letting players kill Leon in ORC. Although I wouldn't really like to see him get killed, it might be an interesting direction to take the story and show how much the stakes have been raised.

Leon isn't my favorite, but I rather he not die.

Yeah, I wouldn't be a big fan of killing him off either. It just seems like this game is on such a huge scale, that maybe it might be time to end some character arcs and start with something new, or even just end the series (although because it's Capcom, it will go on forever anyways.)

And there are rumours that Ada is an antagonist as well. Maybe she finally betrays Leon, or maybe he gets in between a pissed off Chris and Ada (who might be partly responsible for the events in the game) if they meet up, and it ends badly. It would definitely make Chris a little more interesting if he ends up killing Leon by accident and feels even more guilty than ever lol. Sorry, this is just me thinking up goofy stuff past midnight at this point. Need some sleep.

Chris killing Leon would spark fire between fans lol.

If anything, I'd rather him just land a punch or two, hokeslam etc, if violence were to start between them.

I'd love it if Chris kills Ada though (I hate Ada).

I wonder who would win in a fight: Leon or Chris. Chris isn't much of a fighter as Leon is. And that's mainly going from a RE4, RE5 perspective.

If I had to choose, I'd say kill off Chris over Leon. I have nothing against Chris, but I just like Leon more. Also, Resident Evil 2 was my first game in the series.

Rawpower: Chris.
RE2: ExtremeBattle, the combat shotgun lifts Leon off his feet, but Chris stays firm. That's the devs showing who has more strength.

Agility: maybe Leon due to his skinny form, but RE5 showed a muscular Chris with quick reflexes, fast roundhouses on Wesker, and running speeds enough to catch a moving plane and leave an agile, skinny Sheva behind.

Leon can't do much in a power struggle as proven by Krauser.

That's cool. I'd pick Leon. His jacket is nice. =)
