After RE6, can we go back to the beginning?

Am I the only one who wishes Capcom would remake all the previous RE games with the new, post-RE4 engine? I mean, as an individual, I want to experience the stories of REs 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica, but the control scheme hasn't really aged well... Could never quite get used to it :S

Remake? No, but a proper HD Collection by a capable team on a damn disc would be nice. Back to horror? Yes.

I think that a good idea considering the could add a layer of depth to old games. make it more where you have to get a head shot to kill zombies and add the dodge feature you see in RE:R.

The RE4 style would not work in the old games. Can you imagine how easy RE1 would be with this? It would completely change the game- Boom headshot ur dead zombies

there way they can up the difficulty like lower you health and have very closterfobic hallways. inregular enemy pattern similar to what you saw in RER.

Remaking the game would not actually just change the engine. Remaking a game is to create it again, if it is to be taken literally.

To be able to fit the new gameplay style, Capcom would have to make the enemies stronger, being able to survive as many shots as our common Ganados/Majinis.

I would really love to see these games remade to the new gameplay style - a collection of all three remade games would be perfect.

6 finally ditches the tank controls afaik. Honestly, I'd like to see remakes of the old games with the option of a "directional" control scheme as in Silent Hill 2 and 3... the camera angles are perfectly fine and should definitely stay, but the classics would be a lot more user-friendly and intuitive this way.
