Graphics Comparison - Resident Evil 5 VS 6

#1Timd40Posted 9/20/2012 7:15:17 AM
I played through the demo 3 times, then played through Resident Evil 5 last night.

Resident Evil 5

Graphics look more polished, even in the main characters like Sheva.
Maybe its the fact I am used to the controls of Res5 but I feel better when the camera follows me when I do a 180 turn, Res6 does not allow this...I hope I get used to it.

Res6
Very, very dark everywhere in Jake & Leon....I know they are trying to make the game creepy but man it gets frustrating when I cannot enjoy the environments graphics. I like to just look around sometimes and say WOW...these guys did a great job...this game looks to be a little rushed. Look up at the sky and there is nothing to look at...no clouds blowing fast like in res4...or a really cool sunset in res5.

This is just the demo of course and lets hope there is some really awesome eye candy.

Anyone agree with me?

Five has better everything in the visuals department; along with acting and mo-cap. DEM CUTSCENES!

Capcom games are clearly going downhill like Square Enix games...

The only companies I trust now are Atlus, Treasure, Quantic Dream, Platnium and Kojima Productions
---
METAL GEAR SOLID | HEAVY RAIN | FF7 | RE | ZOE | SF /fanboy

5 also had less enemies on screen and motion blur.

I just want to point out that you can 180 in RE6. Same as in RE5, hold down and press X. It's not a "true" 180, but pressing X centers the camera on your character. Using this, you can even do quick 90 degree turns and what not.

It's been a while since I've played RE5, so the graphics aren't fresh in my head. RE6 seems fine though. Only thing that stuck out was the sandwiches on the tables in Leon's campaign.
