So I have been saving up my points since Chris' campaign for when I beat Ada's tomorrow and can buy infinite ammo. From what it seems like, the infinite ammo goes based on weapons type in this version instead of gun specific. As such, I am at a crossroads. Do I get the IA for the magnums or the rifles? The magnums obviously have more power to them, but the rifles have the speed and distance. Which do you think I should go for? --- GLaDOS 2012 - At least she admits the cake is a lie.

Both are excellent. I'd go with the magnum due to it's considerably higher firepower ratio mixed with faster firing speed (although canceling the post sniper rifle shot animation with R3 really ramps up the firing speed of sniper rifles) and the fact that it has a larger clip. I am on my pro mode playthrough and I have infinite handgun, rifle and magnum skills for all my killing pleasure. --- Stupidity isn't a virus, but it sure is spreading like one!

I'd say magnum too. Mostly because ammo for it is far more scarce.
