I don't have a favorite RE soundtrack. They are all excellent (In different ways, granted):

Even BHs Gun Survivor and Gun Survivor 4: Heroes Never Die have excellent soundtracks. BH Gun Survivor 4: Heroes Never Die's save room theme is just the stuff of dreams.

Epic orchestrated music is my thing so RE2 boss battles, RE:CV alexia themes, the chronicles, the entirety of RE5 (which for me is the best soundtrack overall, winds of madness I listen to even when I'm no playing any RE) and Simmons theme in RE6. RE6 had pretty forgettable epic themes

What about the themes you listen to during the engagements against the Haos? They are THE best final battle themes in Biohazard 6.

What the #*^@ ???

Are you guys even horror fans ?

RE1's haunted house tune takes a dump on everything else since...

I'm with you. I totally agree. RE1 (The original and/or the remake) is untouchable.

For me, it's ALWAYS the mansion incident (The original and/or the remake) before any other Biohazard game. It just exudes charm, style, class and real horror like no other.

My favorite track. When the background music pretty much goes silent and the piano plays the unique tune....just makes me think of the past really.

meh, not as great and orchestrated as Simmons and main theme but it is pretty good. Not something I would listen to while jogging but its great for when you're fighting Haos.

Simmons' fight themes were too lighthearted for Resident Evil IMO.

The Haos fight themes on the otherhand were certainly more dark as they epitomized chaos and doom.

You have a point there. I guess I myself am just personally interested in music that have a good rhythm and catchy. But yes I do concur that Haos theme definitely is more dark and horrorlike than Simmons. Not much of a melody though but BGM isn't all meant to be melodic especially horror music
