Have 3/4 of PS3 RE:NET Users Quitt the Game?

#1ZGMF_600_GuaizPosted 1/8/2013 7:11:47 PM
In order to be considered as participating in the last event, a registered RE:NET only needed to kill at least 1 zombie at any time during the 10 days the event lasted. Now that the event has ended we know that 39,016 participated on it:

http://residentevil.net/en/playstation/event-19.html

However, a few moments ago I just checked the top page of the site to compare it with the total number of registered RE:NET users. The total at the time was 160,671:

http://residentevil.net/en/playstation/index.html

Basically only 24.28% of the total users participated in the event. This means that approximately 75% of the people that are registered on RE:NET did not kill even one zombie during the 10 days the event lasted. While we could attribute this to having many players just modes and/or campaigns without zombies, I think it's more likely that most of these players have given up on the game.

Any other theories?

..are you really surprised? o.O;
I'm sure the majority either shelved their copy, traded it in, or sold it..only a minority seems to still play it. =P

Resident Evil (Remake) 'n' Haunting Ground are two of the best games ever made by Capcom.

The game has no lasting value. You would think that it does but Capcom screwed over the PS3 servers and Mercenaries was flawed from the start.

This game is that last stuck turd waiting to drop into the bowl before you can wipe and flush.

Wouldn't be surprised. This is what happens when you don't fix the servers OR give dlc to your main fanbase. :/

Edit: Agreeing with Silver in that they really bombed mercenaries. Most of these stages should have been in from the start, and free.

Charging Stage Map Pack A & B are the stupid idea to cover for their server.

I was one that didn't kill any zombies in those 10 days. I played this game from release to about the end of October. And barley at all since.
Was so pissed off when I tried to trade it in and they wouldn't even give me 30 bucks for it even with the 30% towards new a game. ='(

I still play RE5 though. Getting every last cent out of that game.

I liked merc in RE4. . .
I will pay for a new campaign in RE6 but for a map, no sorry.
Hell, I would even pay for new costumes in campaign.
#10XSilverPhoenixXPosted 1/8/2013 11:12:09 PM
I wouldn't waste money on buying costumes to use in the campaign. I wa sick of the campaign the first time through and using ugly costumes isn't going to change that.

They didn't even make decent costumes for this game. At least RE5 had unlockable costumes AND good ones to purchase.

I'd take Warrior Chris over Samurai Chris any day. Useless sword...
