if HAOS never fought Chris and Piers

even if submarines use heat tracking missiles, HAOS just have to jerk a 8~9 o'clock turn.

the missiles have speed, but they do not have mobility or maneuverability to navigate that like underwater.

Except, you know, when it surfaces it can be killed by everything.

If it surfaces it would instantly multiply.. And each copy would multiply and so and so until complete global saturation

Really instantly multiply, but which number exactly? If it multiplies buy anything lower than 1, that isn't very good now is it?

Plus yeah it gets nuked when it surfaces and begins to grow. GG.

The point is that it can surface anywhere in the world, so how would you know were to nuke??... You can't cover the whole ocean or can you?

their only chance is to rely on satellite imaging and heat tracking. if HAOS enter cocoon, it will produce very small life signature (chris chapter 2) and will look like a giant rock.

I am sure there are places on earth where satellites have a hard time seeing, maybe like the 2 earth poles?

I find it funny how some people are claiming that Chris & Piers used guns to kill it (and thus reasoning it could be gunned down easily on land). Only problem is, it wasn't guns that killed it at all. It was Piers lightning blast (it tried to attack Chris' escape pod and a super concentrated lightning blast came out of the facility and struck it from behind). Some people might argue that the lightning blast only weakened it and it was the exploding facility that killed it, but even though HAOS falls towards the facility as it blows up, the scene clearly shows that explosions don't reach him (at least by the time the scene cuts away anyway).

What if it is not in range?

If it reaches surface it will start multiplying.. So that's not a possibility
