no i think jake awas brought in because they felt they needed an immature Wesker who is not evil nor virtuous. It was reckless of them for what they did in 5. Now whether he is gonna digivolve to evil Wesker or virtuous Jake, that is up to Capcom.

It seems that they took all of that out and made Jake actually Wesker's real son.

I think Sherry was supposed to be Ashley, but then they took all of that out and made her actually Sherry.

i heard that chris was actually rebecca. but then they changed sheva into helena.

i think wesker was supposed to be solid snake but it they took all that out and made him dante in dmc.

Chris was supposed to be Salazar but they made him Chris instead.
