People said in comparison with other RE games plot and characters, this game took it too seriously. How do you feel?

There isn't cheese lines in RE6 like in RE4-1.

Or even epic lines like the one Wesker says in RE5.

The plot has always been bad. The problem is that the bad plot gets in the way much more in this game than the previous ones.

Not something i would fault the game for but i understand the logic.

I thought Leon had some witty lines but nothing cheesy like "Your right hand comes off?"

Well if you think it's always been bad then of course you're always gonna think each entry is going to be bad.

Really? I guess anything will pass for epic around here to quote an old youtube comment "I've seen more epic things in my sock drawer"

I don't know if it's too serious, but there is too much going on and none of it is really compelling.

The only interesting thing is Simmons connection to Ada and how his... obsession turns out, but that's barely touched on.

Kinda like how Alfred was really interesting in Code Veronica but they toss him aside for generic mad scientists who want to rule the world/destroy it.

I wish Leon in particular had more funny lines in this game. Most of them were terrible, aside from "This is why I can never sleep on planes." He was far too serious. Most of the comedy gold came from Jake's campaign, most of which I don't think was meant to be taken seriously.

The only campaign that took itself really seriously, I feel, was Chris's. He was so hell-bent on revenge for the entire thing that I really don't remember any genuinely funny parts, aside from perhaps when you pair Piers with Jake on the elevator part of the fifth chapter.

"You can't imagine my delight at having to escort your ass out of here." - Piers to Jake

Actually, I wonder how Jake would have felt after he had been "transformed" into a non-scumbag by Sherry and learned of Piers' death. Would he have said "Good riddance" sarcastically, or been adult about it? See, now I'm taking it too seriously...

RE5 was too serious, too. The other games (0, Remake, 2, 3, CV, Outbreak, 4, Revelations) all had some funny bits mixed in with the drama to give it a bit more life, but 5 and 6 are pretty bland in that regard.

Edit: I forgot about another Piers line in the last chapter. When they hear that recording of Carla announcing her "greatest creation," Piers says "Something tells me this greatest creation isn't a Pillow Pet." Betcha he didn't think that "Pillow Pet" would be his downfall...
