Wait... the 5th anniversary of Resident Evil special edition had a demo for DMC?

I'm confused by this article:

http://venturebeat.com/2013/02/11/most-expensive-special-editions/

One of the special editions is a Resident Evil 5th anniversary collection. It contains Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3, and well as Code Veronica... and a demo for Devil May Cry.

I know Devil May Cry was supposed to be what Resident Evil 4 originally was, but this makes no sense now. This special edition set came out in 2001, Resident Evil 4 came out in 2005... Capcom was hard at work on the REmake for the Gamecube, so I don't see how they could have been working on Resident Evil 4 concurrently.

Therefore, Devil May Cry...

....wait... what?

...I am so confused now. :(
