Why do people say Resident Evil 4 is great when...

RE4 had cutscene QTE's. RE6 has none of those..so it's a lot different.

Because games actually had some level of difficulty back then.

Some QTE in 4 are random sometimes like L1+R1 or []+X

RE5 had decent QTEs like in RE4, in this game it's just forced and stupid.

PyroSpark

you are wrong.

resident evil 4 destroyed the series and making it trash.

resident evil 4 BETA was much much much beter.

the QTEs were far worse in that game than 6. QTES were worse in RE4 cause:
-1/2 second to press 1 or 2 buttons
-buttons were always different
-Krauser Knife Fight scene
-QTES are even harder on Professional!

more or less the QTE's in 5 were about the same as 4 but there were less

In RE6 though
-QTE's give more than enough time
-the button prompts are always the same (Minus amatuer difficulty)
-QTE assist for those who can't stand them at all.

I love RE4 and everything else about it, but you have to admit that the QTES were far worse in that game. Then again this is just my "opinion" if you have a different opinion feel free to post your response.

hate to say it, but your argument "against" RE4 is actually "supporting" fo rme :/
i hate easy games

not saying that RE6 is a bad game

I just like the old games, really, "gameplay" and "system" are much better

think about how boring a QTE would be if it gave you like 30 seconds
buttons are always different - good, or else what would those QTEs be for? press the
if you hate QTEs and can't bear it, don't play the game

same button? I like games that are hard (not too hard), challenging and I like how "gamers" react really fast, not slowly
how boring would it be (and easy) if the buttons are always the same?
,
there's a reason it's called "professional" mode aka HARD mode >_>...
you want all eas, normal, pro = norma/easy?????
what? you hate dying/being defeated by a game? too hard? lol, go train more

what's all with the gamers these days, complaning that the old games are too hard, tedious

it's obviously because new games these day are too easy/straight >_>
sigh

p.s. you arguments/supports doesn't even actually make a game good or bad in reality :/

Games, Manga, Anime, Gunpla, Figures ONLY!
I now conclude that, Ever17's story is eminently the BEST story of all I've seen/read in my "entire life".

Agree 100% btw I think you're gonna like Demon's Souls and Dark Souls if you haven't played them yet. Old school trial and error with murderous difficulty :)

Just to be clear I had absolutely no problem with the QTES in RE4 I'm just stating that when they did show up it was somewhat frustrating. RE4 is challening, far more than RE6 and I respect that and I did have a lot of fun playing the game. I made this topic mostly as a comparison, I had no real problems with RE4 at all. I think this game is amazing and was a good breath of fresh air for the series. Again I had NO problems with QTES in RE4, this topic was just for comparisons.

You should make another topic about that. But I've seen those kind of topics (which is the hardest/most challenging RE game) numerous times last year and I'll just predict most might have said CV.
