the move is as flashy and inefficient as YOU(or Leon) make them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSt3mMtabWo
military boots, uneven surface, no time for spin vs multiple enemies in open area etc
but hey that guy is doing the back kick correctly, he was able to maintain the back turned position, and he kept his knee squared in. notice how his toes were pointed downward before he extended his legs?
As for your links and stuff, I still don't get your point...
wait... just so we are on the same page, you know the difference between a spin side kick and a spin back kick right? Spinning back kick= tighter turn, toes point down, butt pointed up. Spinning side kick=slightly more circular, toes and butt parallel to ground.
I think I linked the time frame correctly, it tells you that proper back kick is done from a back turned position, with knee tucked in, not up at an angle before the extension, so it can get more power.
You expect the game to have that level of accuracy
wait hold on, remember the game never gave names for all the moves that characters do. spin side kick is still a proper kick, there's nothing wrong with it. we are the ones that are trying to determine what kick leon does.
So, I still think it's the very same kick, unless I just name them all wrong
look, most people couldn't tell the difference either unless they are trained in TKD. I got penalized for it when I turned too much and did spin side kick instead of spin back kick. my teacher was like "get down on the ground and give me 20!", that's why I remembered this kick particularly.
I agree with Archian, he's doing a spinning back kick. I mean heck, the first vid he showed the guy does the same pose at the end that Leon does.
(/)_-) the difference isn't at the end, it's during the turn.
arrgh, you know what? **** it, I give up. it's such a trivial thing to spend time on unless we are being tested on.
