A good mix of old and new style. Gameplay of RE6, but the atmosphere of REmake would be ideal, but probably impossible.
A single focus on what the game wants to do. RE6 was all over the place.
Jill to return as a playable character, especially if she was attractive as she was in RE5. I'd like Chris, Jill, and Claire to be in the same game. Chris could have great chemistry with both his long time partner and his own sister.
Less ridiculous action scenes. RE6 pushed it too far with Jake and Leon's scenarios.
Some things I want in Resident Evil 7, An actual upgrading system again Leon fixed ( I want him to be ridiculous with one liners again instead of "lets get the hell out of here") if he will appear at all Scary places with different spawn points for most rooms ( it'd be great if they did it similar to left 4 dead without the massive amounts of zombies, just some well placed enemies to scare the **** out of you). If the game cannot be scary, then atleast have it be fun to play. If they have to go overboard with it, then I just don't want the characters taking themselves so seriously anymore. If it has to be bad, then give me some corny dialogue with horrific acting like RE1. And make the price 30 dollars to start, then it will be fine.

I want the game set in a trapped environment that's a maze with locked doors that you have to find keys in and that you need to backtrack through and find interlocking pathways in. I want notes all over the place to give background to the setting and what happened there. I want a finite amount of ammo and health lying around that you pick up and is not fed to you by enemies. And I want the viral agent to work off of things that have already been introduced.
