I and others have mined through a lot of the Resident Evil 6 demo. I posted most of my findings on NeoGAF, but thought I'd share here too. This is all data from the demo, and is still a work in progress.

Alright, first of all it turns out that there's a lot of weapon data in the demo. It turns out you can actually mod the demo and use these weapons in the demo, including unlockable ones. You can see an example of this in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbtDitAoZ5s

This isn't a full list of weapons though. It only seems to include weapons that are under categories of weapons used in the demo. All of the weapon categories are:

Next up, several multiplayer game modes and their details were revealed. This one won't be marked in spoilers as they don't reveal anything about story or exact specifics, but might be considered as such regardless.

The game's multiplayer modes are:
-Mercenaries: Sure you all know what this mode is. It seems it can be up to 6-player co-op in this game, though.

-Slayers: this is a versus mode that was first seen in Resident Evil 5. In this game they added a lot of rules. Players can modify their stages to even the playing ground, and have ways to block or dodge other player attacks. More so, players can pick up health items as well around the arena, or frame which act as 'armor'. Players also can try and perform what is known as a Boisterous Dance, which allows them to heal some health. However, it cannot be cancelled once it is started and you only get health back when it is completed. You're a sitting duck and if another player attacks you, that is considered a 'failed' dance.

-Last Stand: Not much is known about the mode in details, but it sounds like a survival-based mode.

-Siege: This mode doesn't have much concrete info, but there was data in the demo about gameplay instructions that seems like it may have listed what this mode is about. If the instructions were part of this mode like believed, Siege Mode is a mode where two teams fight control of different 'control points' which they have to stand in to claim. However, various events happen during the game, including enemy rushes, a 'circle of death' appearing and going around the stage, anyone inside it resulting in death, a temporary effect where people in the control point can't shoot their guns, and more. Seems there's several of these points, and this mode might also include the use of vehicles possibly.

And finally...

-Agent Predator: This mode is confirmed to be 8-players and seems to maybe feature one player playing as Ustanak, the giant monster that chases Jake in his game. Not much else is known outside of that.

Ada's Role in the game: Ada Won has a secret fourth scenario in Resident Evil 6, which includes cutscenes, unique stages, and more. Ada's campaign does have co-op in it, but besides that we don't know much about it. We know she can use her gatling gun and hook shot, and we know that Carla, Ada's clone, is in the game. However, we don't know if Carla and Ada are on good or bad terms, and Ada's partner is simply listed as 'HELPER' in the demo files.

Details about Zombies (some huge surprises included here):
As we all know, zombies are back! But there's more than that. It seems later in Leon's scenario, starting in a gameplay segment where he and Helena crash a bus into a dark and stormy forest, several new gameplay elements with zombies come into play. Leon's stages become more hub-like and explorable, and with this zombies bodies will remain motionless on the ground. However, if you leave a body alone for to long and approach it again, the zombies will rise again as Crimson Heads. Yes, Crimson Heads are back! Zombies also have a few different varieties. Some can spit acid. Some wear hard hats or bullet-proof vests. Some carry weapons (we know they can carry pipes, sticks, axes, machetes, hatchets, and knives. There are some context-sensitive zombies, like there is apparently a 'hanged-man' zombie who hung himself but is still there as a zombie, or other types of zombies such as fat zombies or zombies on fire. There also is a new type of zombie called a 'Screamer'. These sound like they work a lot like Redeads from the Zelda series, and can stun with their screams.

The game also has more options than what weh ave in the demo. While not full details of these options are known, they are titled as:

Unlockable Spoiler: -Infinite Ammo

-Skill Set (apparently they can have four pre-set Skill Sets)

Firstly, it seems Skill Points are used for both shops and to determine your 'skill level'. Skill Points are an all use currency to buy stuff, upgrade stuff, set skills to ourself, and show how good you are. You also can make a custom user title, emblem, and plate for online.

Unlockable Spoilers: You also seem to be able to unlock infinite ammo again in this game for weapons, like in RE5.

More on menu and option stuff, the game has menus for Records, Collection, Cutscenes, Mercenaries mode, Slayers mode, Last Stand mode, Agent Predator/Ustanak mode, and Siege mode. In the Records menu, it seems to work like RE5 where it keeps track of your data. It has three main things to check, which is 'Common', 'Weapons, and 'Enemies'.

Another thing is that this game seems to have something you can turn on/off called 'No Hope', but it isn't clear what this is. Might make the campaign more difficult? It isn't a difficulty setting but might rank up the difficulty in some other way.

The game also has a few extra diversions during the campaigns. There's several puzzles that seem to be in the demo file, and a couple things simply labelled as 'Mini Games'. The game also has four vehicles we'll get to drive during the game:
-A Bike
-A Snowmobile
-A Jeep
-A Harrier

The demo includes data on several enemies, but is limited to code-names and brief information in their programming. A few that we can discern besides the obvious (like zombies) includes:

(note: These are not all the enemies in the game, just a few we can identify in the demo files)

-Crimson Heads (referred to as both CrimzonHead and RedDead in the data)
-Face Huggers: An enemy that latch onto the player. Seem to be related to J'Avos
-Screamer: A type of zombie that screams that both shocks the character for a moment and attracts all nearby zombies.
-Crows: Seem crows are back as enemies again in this game.
-Dogs: Dogs as well.
-Fly: These are the J'Avos that turn into flying enemies. Later in the game, they can pick up items in the environment (like bombs) to throw them, or press levers to make life harder for you.
-Spiders: These are J'Avos that take on more spider-like properties. They can walk along walls and ceilings. They can break through ducts and leap at the player and pin them down with their strong legs. They also have a mode where they'll 'creep' up on you from the ceiling and then hang down and attack you. They also seem to be able to grab a player and pull them elsewhere, to get them away from their partner to essentially eat them.

The rest don't have names but have some details.

-There's these monsters that seem to have a weak Abdomen but a lot of armor elsewhere. I believe these may be the enemy we see charging at Chris in the E3 demo that runs on four legs and looks like a kind of J'Avos. Apparently you can get a prompt to ride the back of the creature if you can hang on, and knock it into something to expose it's weakpoint, its heart.

-There seems to be a monster with regenerating limbs that sounds like it may be insectoid as it has 'feelers' listed as one of the part of its body it can regenerate (legs, arms, head, feelers).

-We have a big enemy that we saw in the story trailer that has a lot of tumors on it and emits gas. This enemy emits gas, which can be deadly and can reanimate bodies.

-It seems there's these enemies called 'Sanagi'. These seem to be 'BORN' from cocoons, and if you destroy the cocoon before it's born you won't have to fight it. However, the enemies once born must be fought. Fun fact, Sanagi mean "chrysalis", or "pupa" in Japanese.

We also have a few enemy nicknames with no info on what they are. These include:
-Needler
-Rasklapanje
-Slider
-Decoy
-Kong
-Shell


The demo has data for the 'Join Game' option when you join another players game. This includes the typical data, including displaying the players name and the option to join or not, but most interestingly is that it has data to display which stage the player is playing. The game splits it's stages into 'Chapter - Stage - Scene'. This is just like RE4 and RE5, where you have a chapter and stage (like 2-1, a chapter and then a stage) and the current 'scene' (loadable area, like chapter 1-1 in Resident Evil 5 has four 'scenes', the beginning walk with all the civilians, once you get your guns, once you meet the first enemy and hide inside the house from the large crowd, and public assembly).

According to the demo, the game has 28 stages. These likely will be split among the campaigns and chapters.

Now for some campaign spoilers. This has nothing to do with story, just straight-up gameplay moments. There unfortunately is no organization and no way to tell what comes before want. Some of it is obvious to tell where it is from thanks to trailers or the demo (an example is that it's obvious which 'scene' is Chris's flashback scene in the game, as feature's info that pertains to what happens in the scene that isn't subtle at all) but it would take far more guess to piece it together in order. As such, take all of the following as gameplay moments that indeed do occur in the game, but not in the order I am listing them. I really have no clue in which order these go in, and in many cases don't even know who does what (except in a few rare cases where a character is named or if I recognize the scene to something seen in a trailer, for example).

Firstly, some details for a 'flashback chapter' that happens for Chris and Piers. This isn't much of a spoiler as it is seen in the reveal trailer, but it seems the section starts with a jeep ride, though the jeep crashes and burns. It seems Chris and Piers run through an open street market, and end up in the scene where the bomb explodes that kills his men (subtlety, the event in the data is called 'Crew_Explodes'). There is also a mention of an event involving Ada playing after this scene.

I'll name off a few more moments I know for a fact where they occur in the game before going on to the essential 'grab bag' of information.

This was shown in the crossover gameplay, but Leon and Sherry have a section together where they have to repair the engine of bus to get back into the boss battle with Ustanak in the four-player co-op section.

A little bit about the vehicle sections: One of the Snow Mobile sections seem to involve you having to jump off at the last second, with death if you fail that. Not much else to say on that other than there are two scenes listed with Snow Mobile information. Mind you scenes aren't stages or chapters, but parts of stages so these two events could happen in the same level or could even be in the same sequence, just a scene happens between them so there are two loaded 'scenes' but in the same sequence. It looks like the game will have more than one jeep section though, and one includes some fun involving Taxis, Trucks, Helicopters, and something labelled 'Trex's'. No idea what that is, but apparently all of these will be obstacles. A few scenes for the bike as well, though we see a bit of that as well as the Snow Mobile and Jeep in the E3 trailer. Finally, the Harrier can do a barrel roll, so that will make some happy. Seems it can also shoot flare shots. These vehicle sections are going to be interesting to see more of, I could see them either being fun diversions or questionable why they're even here depending on how they're executed.

This is a list of 'grab bag' scenes. By this, I mean they have no order or context. These are simply gameplay moments that will happen in the game, but where they happen in the game, who it happens to (in most cases), and why it happens isn't known. some of this can be seen in trailers, some of it hasn't been shown yet. This has no story spoilers, essentially a list of locations and gameplay moments, so up to you if you decide to click or not.

We saw this briefly in the trailer, but swimming is back from Revelations in this game. If you stay too long in the water you'll drown, and it seems there will be some enemies underwater. Some can hurt you, others grab you to keep you under. Those bastards.

There seems to be a section of the game where you have to crawl through some ducts. This might be a scene for Leon or Helena as I can see something like this being unnerving, and it seems some enemies may be in the vents as well...


Seems like in Resident Evil 4, there's going to be a laser room scene. Involves moving lasers, laser doors, and lasers turning on and off.

Seems there's some puzzle involving a bridge, you have to control it's speed and make a way around and place it just right.

Another scene features a crane you also have to climb and use, though not sure how you use it. Seem in this scene you also get attacked by a monster mentioned earlier that has strong armor, a weak abdomen, and you can grab it and attempt to ride it to get it to fall over and expose its weak heart.

This one is partially guess, but it seems there may be a scene where you go to BSAA Headquarters. In this scene there is mention to check on BSAA, and a lot of NPC interaction. It also would make sense for Chris and Piers to visit BSAA Headquarters at some point.

There's a scene with Leon and Helena in a dark and stormy neighborhood and forest. This sounds like it'll have a lot of zombie fun in it, and sounds like it may even involve a puzzle involving a revolver door and be more open with some exploration.

Also seems to be some gameplay moment/puzzle involving a covered table and turning tables... Yeah I have no idea.

Seems there's a scene in the game where you're on a train. I'm guessing a subway train since we've seen a Subway/Metro already in the game. It seems the train has parts that break off, and a boss battle happens on it. I'll be talking about boss battles later.

Found the scene where Chris runs through a crowd of people running. We saw this in the game's reveal trailer.

Another scene seems to take place in a Scaffold (temporary construction site) somewhere in China. A boss battle seems to take place here, as well as a scene with the whole place falling and you have to get out as it collapses.

Another scene takes place on a plane. We saw this at the E3 trailer. They put in a lot of programming to make how the plane tilts work well with gameplay, it seems. This will be for Leon and Helena.

There's a mention of two minigames, but no word on what these minigames are. At completely different points and labelled 'minigameA' and 'minigameB'.

Seems to be a scene with zombies and a lightning rod. This is a guess, but it seems zombies somehow in this room become something labelled as 'LightZombies', which I'm guessing is zombies struck and surging with electricity.

There's something labelled as 'HidingBox'. Metal Gear?

There's a mention of a Aquarium, which might make sense and use of the swimming mechanic. However, it could also just be a big fish tank. Mentions you can break the glass.

Seems to be a scene with a gas explosion. I would guess that's the scene in the Microsoft E3 gameplay demonstration with all the explosions of cars and such.

Seems to be a scene with something labelled as a 'zombie door'. Wonder what that could be?

And another thing labelled 'Fat Zombie Hole'. Well then.

More grab bag stuff, which means random gameplay moments and locations. No story spoilers, but a lot of gameplay spoilers so read at your own risk.

There seems to be a submarine in the game. Nothing more I know about that, though.

There's a segment that involves cranks and some puzzle involving paintings on the wall. No idea what it is, but it sounds like it could be a good 'classic' Resident Evil horror-ish location, like a mansion. Maybe the chapel Leon and Helena are headed towards?

There's mention of something about cartridges and something that throws bodies or something like that. Maybe a lab scene? Also another scene nearby involving a camera door... and something elsewhere about a valve door.

Seems to be an area dedicated specifically to dog enemies, that should please some.


There's a lot of scenes unfortunately without much of a clue to what happens in them, or some that are too vague to say anything firm about.

There are two bigger story/location spoilers here, so read at your own risk:

It seems that there's a Intel base that belongs to Simmons as a location in the game, and this seems to be linked to something titled, 'SporeBase'. In Leon's scenario they mention that the outbreak is being caused by a gas... Could it be spores? I also feel this is likely a location we saw in the story trailer.

More than that, it seems there's ANOTHER base titled, 'CarlaBase'. Carla is supposed to be the clone of Ada Wong, so....


Next up, we have boss battles! I will save final bosses for the next post. A lot of these bosses I do not know the identity of, but I know some about how they work thanks to the programming and data labels. This is also in no order and not entirely clear of who faces what.

There seems to be a scene after one of the game's bike sections in China (probably Jake as we see him and sherry riding a bike in China) where they get to a scaffold (temporary construction site) and have to fight a boss. It might also be Chris as there's monster that looks like a giant snake with large teeth that appears in the E3 trailer that I swear has to be a boss, and it looks like it appears in a Scaffold. It could be something else, though.

There's info on a boss that involves a lot of player commands and makes references to Japanese words like ''Kakutou', which is a Japanese word for 'wrestle' or 'fist fight'. I am guessing, based on all the mentions to player actions, shooting, and such this may be the boss fight between Leon and Chris.

This next boss I believe to be the giant El Gigante-looking thing we see Chris against in the reveal trailer. Makes mentions of stomps, picking up and throwing cars, and more. Sounds like a giant in a city, which is what the boss we see in the game's reveal trailer likely is.

The next mention is about the boss on the train. There's mention of train cars breaking, going to the roof of the train, one player hanging from the train and the other player 'catching' them. What's even more is that on this train is one of the mini-games, and it seems something about Ada is mentioned as well as searchlights and train lights, and four train cars. The boss seems to try and throw players off the train, and take over train cars with three different behavior patterns during the fight.

Another boss seems to be Ada in possession of a Tiger helicopter. Mentions of a Vulcan canon and missiles.


Mind you this is not all the bosses in the game, just the ones with a bit more information on them to determine some about them. Though surprisingly the bosses with the most information are the final bosses... The next post will contain major spoilers, so be warned.

Alright, this post is all about final boss battles, and as such contain major spoilers. This contains both story spoilers, gameplay spoilers, and as such is sort of the cream of the crop of spoilers right now. We don't know much about the story from hacking the demo outside of what you can pull from gameplay moments, though the final boss info probably provides the most 'spoiler' ridden stuff.

You have been warned.

Jake's final boss is Simmons, which is the man Helena accuses of being behind the current outbreak and we see talking with Ada. Sort of predictable he'd be one of the final bosses, but it makes sense for a 'hero's tale' like Jake's for the main villain to be a boss, especially since Simmons seems to be Sherry's boss and the one asking for Jake. Simmons seems to have mutated for this battle, as there's mentions of him having a tail, a shell on his back, and some form of a lance. The boss seem to have three phases, with attacks using it's lance, using it's tail, some biting attacks, dashing tackles, and more. One phase seems to have Simmons lances be deflected back at him by Jake. Another phase seems to involve Simmons flying. The final phase seems to be Jake tapping into his inner Wesker and running for the last strike.

Chris and Piers also have a final boss against.... Something. To be honest, I have no idea what the heck it is but it sounds like it's linked to those cocoon enemies we see some in the story and E3 trailer. It seems it might be a 'mother' J'Avo, as it is able to give birth to Sanagi (which is Japanese for "chrysalis", or "pupa", and seem to be 'born' but can be killed before their 'birth' happens. The boss can do things like make the enemies around it stronger, has some sort of drain attack, some nail or 'needle' attack, and has 'plates' and 'sections' to its body. Sounds like a real monster, and possibly a queen J'Avo or something. Like how it's appropriate for Jake and Sherry to fight Simmons as their story is more of a 'Hero's story' and it makes sense to have a 'bad guy', Chris's story, which is a tale of Chris really trying to find himself again and live up to his mistakes, makes sense to end on a 'monster' that is directly at the heart of this. A BOW, which he is seeking to destroy and eradicate from the world.

It's not quite clear what Leon's story final boss is, but based on files it seems that either Leon's or Ada's final boss fight may include Leon and Ada either working together or against each other. Leon and Ada are both in the fight, and it looks like they either are partners or are against each other. Either outcome, it either seems that something happened to Helena, or Leon and Ada have a final confrontation. Leon's end boss is kinda' mysterious at the moment, as it's not clear if this Leon x Ada stuff is at the end of Leon's or Ada's campaign, it's not clear if they're working together or against each other, and there's also some clues that an enemy titled in the files as 'CHASER' is involved, but the Chaser may be Ustanak. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

HUGE MAJOR SPOILERS. This was not leaked by me, but someone else pointed it out. In the texture files, under the Join list, they have images of each of the chapters in RE6. Essentially this is the image of each 'area' you can join, and shows what each chapter is in RE6. Mind you, each chapter has individual stages (like 3-1, 3-2, etc).
