Chris for chapter 1-4, Piers for chapter 5.

Piers focuses on long-range combat, Chris is more about shotguns and melee. They actually do split up a good amount and have some cool co-op parts, but its really just your personal preference.

If you're going SP, then Piers. Some parts are broken if you play Chris in SP.

I am doing SP, I think I'll just go with Piers the whole time because I like his semi-auto
