ending the game at a checkpoint question

If you progress through a chapter and reach a checkpoint then quit will you start at that point the next time you play? I would expect yes but I played through a few checkpoints on a Leon chapter, ended game and then next time I start at the beginning of the chapter.

You need to reach a save point, not just a checkpoint.

In the upper left corner of your screen it will save "Saving" with a little typewriter shown. It is then safe to quit and you will restart at that point.

Checkpoints are only for if you die, you will respawn at that checkpoint.

No. The game saves at certain points, almost always following a loading screen.

And if you die... checkpoints pretend they're save points and say 'saving...', but they're not.

Only quit when you enter a new area for the FIRST time and it says 'saving'.

Not for me. haha. I never had an issue with this game's save system...is it even different from RE5? I don't think it is...
