Martial Arts Question

Does the Martial Arts skill effect knives and stun rods? What about Jakes hand to hand? Or does it just simply effect everyone when they use the melee button?

Good question. I don't know the answer. My hunch is yes to Jake's 'hand-to-hand' but no to knives/stun rod.
