They did, the camera angle used in RE4 is the basis for every third person shooter now. Cliffy B even admitted Gears was inspired by RE4, --- "Shop smart, shop s-mart." -Ash, Army of Darkness UMVC3 Main Team: Wesker(b), Sentinel(a), Strider(y)

Because Capcom wants to cater to the casuals and new RE fans. They're the only ones that think this game is good and a step in the right direction.
I'm a old school Resident Evil vet, I beat REO, RE1, RE1 Re-make, RE2, RE3, RECVX, RE4, RE5 and RE6. I don't hate the new RE like most people. I'm not saying they are better than the old school ones either but they couldn't keep the old school controls and gameplay anymore. What they need to do is combine the new and old school RE gameplay but they won't do that because casuals. Every game nowadays is being "dumbed down" for casual gamers......its sad gamers don't like challenge in their games anymore...... --- GT : GodSynn Top 100 Ranked Warzone #67 / Ranked TDM 7.8 K/D & 50.3 W/L

The creators of Gears Of War are fans of RE4.
The creators of RE5 are fans of Gears Of War.

****, I dunno good question but I still play it and enjoy it.
Ps- hey Dave you are here after a year preaching the same thing.....that resident evil sucks and the Texans are awesome....
Texans lost the play offs horribly and I'm still playing this "horrible" game.
Kinda funny how I still can enjoy re6 yet your team is going no where....hmmm sad I rooted for them a few times. JJ is a bad ass.but will get traded I bet.
