Capcom's latest financial results are in and the company has finally recognized that the console versions of RE6 failed:

Well, at least there will be a better PC RE game soon enough with the PC port of Resident Evil Revelations on May:

It's really sad to see what they've done to the series and to no avail. All ruined for nothing. RE4 and onward were fun to play but they weren't RE in my eyes. I didn't jump a single time. RE2 still makes me crap my pants.

RE has upgraded above and beyond what 2 used to be.

I would rather use the word change (for the worse) than upgrade: it has sacrificed the survival horror elements that made the series popular, in order to become another action shooter in an attempt to draw the CoD market and their money, while alienating long time fans of the series in the process.

Good to see Crapcom with another failure on it's hands.

Nice reality check for Capcom. But with the inevitable reboot they're going to keep making the same mistakes and wonder what went wrong.

How is it a failure when it sold like 5 million copies?

Now if only they would REmake 2 and 3 in the same vein as they did the first one then officially call the series dead. But alas.

It brings tears to my eyes watching Capcom continue to ram my favorite video game series into the ground.

Talk to Mitsy, he can tell you a lot about "sammiches".
