My skill will only be acceptable to me when...

I face the single greatest player in the world, equipped in their favorite set+weapon and a full set of Qu'bia accessories, and beat them with my randomly outfitted Tifa, 5 to 1.

So basically, I set impossible standards and goals for myself like some anime character. Hope that clears up my attitude towards this games..."Meta"(?)

I want to learn to leave less openings, block some, tilt chase more in my favor,be less sloppy at using assists...
I would be happy just to not suck at Time Attack.

Not bad. I think most of us fit that category to some extent. I for one would like to be able to dodge more than one type of Chase attack depending on my focus.

I was just working on the Onion Knight version with SbS, trying to initiate an infinite combo. I can't even get the first part going yet, but the videos uploaded by the Dissidia Forums guys offer a ton of info.
Btw, the best characters for Time Attack are the ones with the easiest to land HP attacks. Cloud is arguably the best because his attacks do some damage as well, but Zidane, WoL, and Sephiroth are also pretty good contenders. I won't say "chippers in general", because of their low-damage output, but if the battle's about consistently landing HP attacks to keep the matches below 1:30 a pop, they might be at a better advantage than, say Vaan. Gilgamesh has Hurricane, and Cecil has Searchlight -> Paladin Force, so they're options.
No, I'm not great at Time Attack. I just wouldn't say I suck really bad, though.

That was amusing.

@everyone who wants to improve with chase: Keep your thumb at enough of a distance from the X button so that you can hit it in time to dodge a bravery attack, and so you can stop yourself from hitting it too early ob reaction. And, stop predicting. It may seem impossible to do it consistently on reaction, but it's not. Just ridiculously hard, and very rewarding.

Thanks for the link.
I'm like using Terra with OK as assist the most.
Seems to cause a lot of fun things to happen.
And its fun to start a chase with Thunder the sit there so that a lingering Assist or Meltdown hits them.
