Actually, it is because by being on Chaos side, she could give Laguna a leg cramp or two.

Pfft. That WAS a funny scene.

Hm... I wonder what Xande's EX Mode/Burst would be if he were playable? I figure his burst would at least start with the Curse of the Five Wyrms...

That is all.

I remember when we made up movesets and Xande would use his fists with magic attacks.

A monkmage if you will.

Although I preferred to make him a black wizard or necromancer class.

It wasn't funny the first time it happened in FFVIII. Or at least, prior to figuring out how to break the junction system before that scene... >_>; You fought like 4-5 battles in a row against groups of enemies who would slowly wear you down. And before and after each fight, Laguna complained about his body. Even as a youth, Laguna's body was failing him, lol.

He looks a lot like the monk enemies in FFVI, so... And I'm pretty sure that's called a battle monk. But then, the notations for classes really does vary even among table-top RPGs... -_-

Heck, even in Final Fanasy games.

In Four Heroes of Light, Fighters were bare-fisted brawlers, and Monks were masters of dark magic.

That was the second time it happened in FFVIII.

You're right. I thought it was Julia after, but I looked it up and it was her first, then this... which is the whole reason Laguna ended up in the middle of nowhere.
