I have an INT build and I was wondering if it was worth it to put an extra 11 points into strength to be able to 1 hand the Moonlight Greatsword. Does it do a lot of damage? Does it have a good moveset? I don't have it yet, but I am trying to prepare.

What starting class has 5 strength? But yes the sword is well worth it.

Doesn't it only need 16 str?

it's pretty useful against enemies weak to magic, but i wouldn't recomend it against caster (channelers pretty much) it's really light and powerful, its R2 is a long range attack that is pretty costly to the durability (a couple thousand souls per use) but it does a lot of damage. Once the patch is out the scaling will be S, so it will be more powerful. with good INT it gets to 400 attack pretty easily.
It does decent damage considering the weight and if have the souls to repair it frequently, or you have the repair sorcery Its top notch. In my opinion its the best weapon for an INT build. --- MH3 ID: BBRRL4 1000 karma ^^

It's great. I carry around 40+ repair powders so I can keep spamming the exploding sword beams. Feels reminiscent of back in DeS when there was a magic bar instead of a specific number of castings...
