Ricards moveset is interesting, though I'll doubt it'll hit much.
Balder's has more damage

GuyIncognito_Posted 1/16/2012 5:15:46 PM | Estoc. It's around as long as the balder side sword and does around the same backstab damage as a rapier. Also, the estoc horizontal swipe comes in handy when the opponent is one hit from dying and keeps rolling away.

Tad_DaintyPosted 1/16/2012 5:16:43 PM | You pretty much said it.. .Ricard's has the power attack combo going for it, which is wicked only when it actually works. The Balder sword never lets you down; the thrust attacks are powerful and very easy to use unlike some of the slower R2 attacks in the game.
and I prefer wielding a longsword with a good front kick over that weird rapier dodge move that can cause you to accidentally fall off things.

Go down to New Londo Ruins and get to that blue pot with the body in it... The one that drops 2 Transient Curses. It's right before the wooden plank bridge leading into the area with the first ghosts.
Just get to that pot and... turn around :)

Regardless, Balder > Ricard's in my opinion. |
