What the heck is the "Poise" stat.
Why do I feel the Japanese version of this game came out with a full booklet while we got a leaflet...
The patience it takes to play FFXI and EQ is the patience it takes to kill yourself by bashing your head into a wall.

It means your character is overly adamant and this causes your stats to wither.

Higher Poise causes you to flinch less from enemy attacks.

This is true.

Poise is 'Hyper Armor'. It reduces your chance of staggering when hit.

I believe so, I have a heavy character with the Wolf (poise) ring, and I don't flinch when hit by anything that doesn't knock me down. I take bolts to the chest like a champ.

Ah, I thought it was a misspelled Poison.

Whatever the case, yeah. It's an artifact of translation. Wouldn't "Stalwart" be a better option?

poise fits well, it means you have really good form when attacking
