Iron Golem weapon choice?

#1bigboss00Posted 10/6/2011 9:34:29 AM
I have been using the Drake Sword but it is too weak, and having a long battle here is not desirable. So what is a better weapon to use here? Thanks.

Iron golem? The one just below the Taurus boss? Just get a weapon with good critical hit multiplier and backstab the shyt out of it. i.e Daggers
Or the easiest way would be to get Drake Sword. That weapon is the definition of r*pe in the early game.
The fight is meant to take quite awhile unless you grind excessively.

He means Iron golem at Sen's Fortress I believe

If you go back a little in Sen's fortress, look for a mimic chest. Kill it for a lightning spear. It's a small upgrade, but it should do the trick.

If you don't mind going back a little further, go to the tutorial area (Undead Asylum) and kill the black knight that guards your cell. He will drop a Black knight sword that will make short work of the iron golem when 2 handed

Thanks, that's the boss. I already have the lightning spear but must of overlooked it. I think I'll get the sword as well, worth a shot. What is the dex/str required to wield the black knight sword single handed?

All of the black knights have random drops. No guarantee that you'll get the sword.

32 strength and 18 dexterity fot the BKS

The Black Knight Sword is not a guaranteed drop, for the record, you got a bit lucky there. Any of the Black Knights have a chance to drop their weapon.

The Black Knight Sword is a greatsword and requires 20 Str and 18 Dex to wield one-handed. It deals 205 base damage and has C Str scaling and E Dex scaling.

That's for the Black Knight Greatsword, actually.
