So the blacksmith wants me to give him it? Any reason I shouldn't?

Is Amber hard to come across as dont want to waste it on a weapon only for me to get better weapon soon and not being able to add the Amber.. Was gonna use it on black night sword..

Does divine weapon let you kill ghosts? If so I need it lol.

One more question also I have "soul arrows" are they good? And do I need magic spear thing the man behind barred window sells? As I'l go buy it if it's worry it.

Thanks in advance :)

Ambers are one of a kind, and yes, give it to the blacksmith. With it, he can modify +5 weapons into divine weapons. There are no other use for the ambers so just bring them to him once you find them. Divine weapons will permanently kill the skeletons in the Catacombs. I haven't tried using them against ghosts, but I think I remember reading that only a magic enchanted weapon (different amber) can hurt ghosts.

I should mention that by "permanently kill" I mean that they will die even though there is a necromancer present. They will still respawn if you rest at a bonfire.

^ this is true. Merchant on bridge next to fireshrine says so himself. Use a divine weapon to get rid of those annoying pests.

Thanks! Appreciate it. So one bit of Amber will give the black smith enough to do multiple weapons...

Yep. Basically "unlocks" his ability to make new weapon types.

The weapon has to be +5 before you can turn it into a divine weapon. Some unique weapons cannot be upgraded like this, though.
