Is this confirmed? And do you think the sequel will tone down the difficulty?

"And the studio's executive producer Eiichi Nakajima adds that the team will be aiming for a much wider audience next time around."

The one thing that limit the audience was the difficulty I think....

Yeah it's confirmed and honestly, I think they'll probably have an easy mode and a normal mode. I could really care less though, just as long as easy mode players don't get things as easily as normal mode players do.

If they dumb the whole game down for other people, I'd be really disappointed.

Just kidding, nobody cares.

Wider Audience for this game is most likely more than one difficulty. Hard to imagine how much larger they are going for considering the success of Demons, and then the blow out that was Dark. Sounded more like marketing wider imo but I doubt it.

Never stop reaching for the top I guess lol.

They should make it so any difficulty besides "hardest" makes your character in a pink dress.

i don't think that would work very well with multiplayer

unless they split the server but then that would limit the amount of players

They should do what they did for Megaman 10. A normal and easy mode. The normal is the standard ball busting difficulty, but Easy changes up the locations of enemies and removes most of the spike/bottomless pits.

If they can progress faster on Easy mode...then us playing the game at Hard mode can play BF3 or MW3...

Before Dark Souls was released they said: "We aim for a wider audience"

Wham, Xbox 360

Now, before Dark Souls 2, or whatever it'll be, is released, they say: "We aim for a wider audience"

Wham, PC I tell you!
