Power Within

What are your thoughts on this pyro? I personally freaking love it now. Been using it on a few of my characters and it's really working out well. I didn't realize it gave you a boost to your endurance too. Really useful for PvE and PvP.

Most people don't use it because for it to be worth it your pyro hand has to be at base level. The boost to your damage and stamina regen are static. The damage it does to you per tick however scales with the hand's refinement level, meaning you take very little damage with the same benefit but sacrifice all pyro damage spells, or you use it to get the same benefit but have your HP drain much quicker.

If you're not using pyromancies (and thus the glove is at base) it's a wonderful spell to use. I mean, forty percent increase to damage, massive stamina regen boost, all for minor tick damage? Might as well keep the lingering dragoncrest ring glued to your finger. Because Power Within is always useful.

You can get 2 pyro hands per playthrough. 3 if you start off as a pyromancer.

It can be wicked, especially combined w/ the Red Tearstone Ring and a powerful bow. Was invaded a couple times by a fella rockin' what appeared to be a crystal Pharis' bow, red tearstone ring, and power within'. One clean hit, just one clean hit, nailed me for something obscene like 900 damage! I barely, and I mean barely beat him both times.

I use it in PvP builds when I play 2h weapon builds.

Makes you 2-shot people with regular hits, though connecting is difficult as they will just run and turtle while you die.

Does having the Sanctus shield equipped help at all? As unremarkable as the regeneration on the shield is, it's gotta slow down the hp drain, even by a bit.

nope. considering you had 1500 hp, the shield would not even stop 10% of the damage you take.

Equip lingering dragoncrest ring before casting to slow the damage.

Yeah, if you dual wield them, the ticking will be countered by a LITTLE bit. Like, really little. As little as a baby's fingers.
