fisheye11Posted 8/5/2012 4:28:27 PM | these four shields is what i'm choosing over ATM. i just made my way into blight town.(eagle shield obv) i know i should use BK shield for the fire spider.(bad with names) but what about picking a over all shield. i can hold the eagle and still be quick but i just cant decide what to stick with and upgrade. what will work out for me in the long run? if it helps any i'm running a STR/DEX melee build with a +10 claymore and rocking elite knight gear with wolf/"flip" ring.(again bad with names)
so what say you game faqs?

cody316Posted 8/5/2012 7:10:48 PM | I'm personally a fan of the Crest shield. I like parrying, I can't stand taking chip damage from physical attacks, and it's lightweight.
Also, it blocks well against everything except fire. So if you're going to Izalith you can swap it for the BK shield and then go back later.

LoshadtPosted 8/5/2012 7:26:24 PM | I prefer the Black Knight Shield thanks to its amazing stability and fire defense, and its solid lightning defense. Its biggest issue is that it barely blocks magic, but outside Wrath of God most magic is absurdly easy to dodge.

saxrohmerPosted 8/5/2012 7:48:08 PM | If you are blocking in PvP more than 10% of the time, then you are doing it wrong. The GCS is the only mentioned shield that comes with a static bonus even when not in use.
In PvE I use whatever shield fits the situation best.
One shield not mentioned was the heater shield......I love that shield for it's decent block, no chip damage and because it's really light.
