So, which group do you belong to? I personally think that just by getting an announcement and a fleshed out CGI we are none the wiser.

However, IMO those who think that simply because the CGI is actually pretty well made and isnt shoddy/mysterious enough would mean that the game itself will be 'cinematic' are fooling themselves. This (again, IMO, its all an opinion) is one of the ways to market their product better, to get more people interested in it. Once they are interested they dont have to actually alter the product itself to meet the 'mainstream people's desires and needs' since they already got what they wanted with it - attention from a bigger crowd in order to reach out to potential customers.

Believer.

From knows the formula. From's gonna deliver.
They just need all the PR boost they can get right now. For a game that's been so well received by players and reviewers, 1.2 mil sales is relatively small.

Neutral, leading towards believer.

Seriously, there isn't enough information to say the game is abandoning anything. That amount of hyperbole makes me instinctively wary of the skeptics argument; I'm not going to trust someone who can't use facts.

It's better that there is a sentiment of skepticism amongst the general gaming community in regards on DKS2. The more it seems like we might be worried, the more the developer and publisher will try to reassure us that everything is and will be fine, and they may even "fix" somethings during development that they aren't sure will be welcomed by their core fanbase.

Constructive criticism is fine; hyperbole and supposition based on absolutely nothing isn't.

In the grand scheme of things, both have their uses.

Skeptical, definitely skeptical. I have been disappointed too many times over the decades to be anything but.

Not enough information at all to be a skeptic so believer.
