cute the WiiU owners want Dark Souls 2 now

*Sigh* I miss the good ol' days when this series was PS3 exclusive. Now everyone wants to play it, including WiiU owners. I honestly don't care that PC owners got it, except for the few elitists that say, "ZOMG, whoever plays it on consolz is scrubz lol! Keep in mind "scrub" why you have the game in the first place. The reason why it bugs me that WiiU owners want it now is that I get this vibe that they have this, "Me too!! Me too!! attitude like they are entitled to something.

In actuality they have to realize the WiiU wouldn't suit this game very well. I don't really think that kind of audience is there on the system and it would just instill the fact that 3rd party support on the WiiU is weak as it was on the Wii (Mad World, Dead Space Extraction, No More Heroes ring any bells?)

lol i just made a topic mentioning the petition for Dark Souls 2 on Wii U lol

well it would be interesting to see how it will work out and they need about 100.000 signs to make it happen. (maybe)

I don't want them to add the WiiU to the launch platforms simply because that will postpone the release. I have no problem with them working on porting it after releasing it for the announced platforms. PS3, 360, and PC is enough work for an initial release.

My concern is more along the lines of each version of the game requires at least 3 dedicated servers (US, EU, JP). We already have a PC, 360 and PS3 version confirmed, so that's already 9 servers. Wii U means 12, and I really don't think it's worth the effort given the relatively small install base.

I see no problem in this going to the WiiU (well I see a problem if the time taken out to port it interferes with the production of the PS3 one) if they do it like they did the PC port of dark souls.

I realise there is a large amount of Wii owners that get it for the family party games. But there's also a old fashioned gaming section as well. In terms of game play darks souls is very similar to Legend of Zelda which is a nintendo exclusive.

Hopefully the style of online play that Dark Souls II is built on will make player population irrelevant.

If the online is built so that matchmaking is more generous and inclusive, then it won't matter whether there are 400 regular players or 100,000.
